Useful
answers.

A few honest answers about the source, the stack, and the shape of the product you are buying.

Is this a hosted platform?

No. You receive the source and can run it on your own Cloudflare and database setup. Startplate is the foundation, not a lock-in layer.

Can I use it for client work?

Yes. The Team & Studio and Agency plans are designed for small teams and client-facing delivery, with the appropriate license terms.

Which payment providers are supported?

Dodo Payments is the default path, with Stripe and Lemon Squeezy adapters available in the shared payment layer.

Do I need to wire everything myself?

No. The shared auth, database, email, payment, and API helpers are connected and documented so you can start at the product layer.

What is the actual license?

The checkout flow and source package contain the commercial license terms. Read them before shipping a client product or distributing source.

Is there a free tier?

The starter is designed to begin on free infrastructure paths. You choose paid services only when the product needs them.
